Norfolk Landscapes Conference & Exhibition

Tradestands, Talks, and Seminars:Norfolk Landscapes Conference & Exhibition

In partnership with the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association, Albanwise Environment, Norfolk County Council, and Norfolk Wildlife Trust, join us for Norfolk Landscapes Conference & Exhibition 2024, a new annual event exploring how we can make nature work together with land and coastal management.

Land and coastal management in Britain is becoming ever more challenging and complex. Climate change is altering traditional weather patterns, creating unpredictable growing seasons, and increasing the likelihood of floods and droughts. BPS is being phased out and farmers must navigate a transition to make their businesses sustainable, utilising various public and private funding streams. With an increase in environmental scheme payment rates, farmers and land owners must weigh up food vs the environment. How does one make sense of this everchanging sector, and how do we work together to ensure Norfolk’s land and coastal management thrives?

  • The Economics of Environmental Change
  • Skills Required for the Future of Land and Coast Management
  • The Low Hanging Fruits of Cost-Effective Conservation
  • Simplifying Funding Streams, including Carbon and BNG
  • Connecting the Farming Supply Chain
  • Norfolk’s Plan for Nature Recovery

Held on the Royal Norfolk Showground, this event is a must-attend for land owners, farmers, nature enthusiasts, policy makers, and anyone passionate about protecting our environment and wildlife.

The event will bring together farmers, researchers, policy makers, investors and industry leaders to name but a few, to discuss the importance of Norfolk’s natural capital and the future direction of land and coastal management. Experience a sprawling and diverse exhibition, engaging seminars, and thought-provoking talks

Transition is the Farmers Weekly initiative to secure a more financially and environmentally sustainable future for your farm business. Farmers are first and foremost food producers. But these days, growers and livestock producers do much more too – and generating an income from it. Many are working to improve biodiversity, soil health, air and water quality – and storing carbon to help mitigate the impact of climate change. By pooling all our knowledge, the Farmers Weekly Transition hub aims to show how this can be achieved – and the pitfalls that should be avoided. We are grateful to our Transition Farmers and to our Transition Partners who have agreed to share their experiences, expertise and advice.
