Farm Environment Assistant

Holly Beatty

Holly is Norfolk FWAG’s latest Harper Adams Placement student. From County Antrim, Northern Ireland she has grown up surrounded by farming and nature, working on her family’s sheep and formerly dairy farm, with summer jobs such as trainee ecologist roles within the Lough Neagh catchment. She has a love for outdoor pursuits- running, walking, hiking which is where her love for nature stemed, enjoying the wildflowers and natural features of the Mourne mountains and the Causeway Coast.

To incorporate her two interests, she chose to study BSc Environmental Land Management, at Harper Adams where her course explores all aspects of land management from rural surveying, ecology and agriculture. During her time at Harper she began rowing and was appointed captain of the University rowing team in her second year.

Holly looks forward to starting her career in the agri-environmental sector is excited for what she will learn at her year at FWAG.
